"It all works out in the end; if it's not working out, it's not yet the end."

Hi, I'm Angie Walsh. BSW, MSW, RSW, RCC
(she/her)

I am a therapist licensed as a Registered social worker with the BC College of Social Workers and a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. I offer in-office counselling sessions in Fort Langley, virtual sessions within Canada, Ecotherapy and Health & Wellness retreats in the Fraser Valley community.

No matter the circumstances or situation, I believe that everyone is doing the best that they can with what they have and know. Despite these efforts, sometimes you may feel that it is just not enough. Life is full of ups and downs and at times we need more skills and support to better cope, heal, or thrive. Fortunately, I also believe people of all ages are resilient and can bounce back and/or reroute from difficult events and moments in life. People can take back their power, change, and grow.

I received both my Bachelors and Masters degrees of Social Work from the University of British Columbia. I have experience working with children, youth and adults in the community and acute healthcare environments. I support individuals and families to help stabilize and resolve crisis, rediscover self-love, create meaning from loss, and support client’s adjustment to embrace new normals.

In my private practice, I specialize in issues around gender, sexuality, anxiety, depression, and identity development with youth (ages 11-18) and adults. I draw on a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and Eco-Therapy to better personalize therapy to you and your specific needs. What this means is I draw from a lot of different techniques to help you better understand your feelings and thinking patterns, manage emotions, as well as practice skills to better cope and regain control of your life.

Through counselling, people can regain control of their lives, feel less impacted by their anxious/depressive thoughts, reduce or eliminate panic attacks and disruptive behaviours, and ignite the desire to live. In our work together you may also discover your confidence increase, become more self-aware, less stressed, and feel ready to build healthy, genuine relationships and connections.

I work from a person-centered and client-driven perspective so together we will address issues that matter to you, at your pace. I offer a safe space that is judgement-free, where you can just be you.

When I'm not working as a counsellor, I also work as a Clinical Social Work Supervisor at one of the local hospitals, overseeing 11 acute Mental Health and Substance Use units and programs with a health authority.

I invite you to reach out so we can being the journey of building a life you desire and deserve.
