Assessing and addressing acute and chronic mental health in a school setting
Audience: Elementary and High school counsellors from the Langley and Surrey School Districts.

Healing Body Image & Relationship with Food
- Learn the history of diet culture and how it affects the way we see our ourselves and our body
- Challenge oppressive narratives and pressures that continue to tell us we are not enough and that we need to shrink our bodies
- Break down and examine our relationship with food and how it controls and interferes with the ability to live our life
- Embrace ourselves at any size and live a life of emotional and food freedom

- Recognize how race, ability, health, heteronormativity, privilege, body-image, and attachment affect self-esteem
- Notice, name, and challenge the power of negative, destructive thinking patterns
